Garcia & Artigliere has filed a lawsuit alleging elder abuse, fraud, and other wrongdoing at Country Villa Rehabilitation Center. The firm asks anyone with additional information to come forward and share their story.
PRLog -- Citing elder abuse, battery, fraud, and multiple counts of negligence, the award-winning attorneys at Garcia & Artigliere have filed a lawsuit against Country Villa Rehabilitation Center, a 24-hour skilled nursing facility in Los Angeles, and its primary manager Shlomo Rechnitz, along with multiple other properties owned in part or full by Mr. Rechnitz.
The lawsuit alleges that Mr. Rechnitz engaged in a fraudulent scheme using his shell companies Pursue Health, LLC, and Los Angeles Wellness, GP LLC, to illegally operate the nursing facility under the name "Los Angeles Rehabilitation & Wellness Centre," allowing him to bypass the licensing requirements for a 24-hour skilled nursing facility in California. The lawsuit also names Jose Lynch as a defendant for his alleged role in this scheme, which primarily involved misrepresenting Mr. Rechnitz's role at Country Villa Rehabilitation Center.
The attorneys at Garcia & Artigliere allege that Mr. Rechnitz has committed similar wrongdoing at nursing homes across the state, leaving many elderly and dependent residents without the care that they deserve from a skilled nursing facility. As a result of these actions, their client suffered horrific elder abuse at Country Villa Rehabilitation Center, including preventable pressure sores and rectal bleeding.
At this time, Garcia & Artigliere is seeking maximum compensation from Shlomo Rechnitz, Country Villa Rehabilitation Center, and the other named defendants in the suit. Since 1993, the firm has been fighting for justice on behalf of the elderly – and with this action, their legal team hopes to hold Mr. Rechnitz accountable for his actions.
