De'Jon Packer, a 24-year-old rookie with the San Jose Police Department and former college football player, was found unresponsive at his Milpitas home on March 13 and was pronounced dead on the scene. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner has now ruled that he died of 'fentanyl toxicity' from an overdose, even as his family says 'he was heavily against illicit drugs.' His death now remains under investigation amid allegations that he was partying with other officers the night before
