Officials at Hempfield High School in Pennsylvania are under fire after the school's Gay Sexuality Alliance Club hosted a drag event on school grounds. According to a statement from the Hempfield School District, the unsanctioned event took place after school on April 25. The statement said the district was treating the event as a 'serious situation.' The school is located in Salunga-Landisville, around 80 miles west of Philadelphia. The show saw students led by the teacher who supervises the club dressing in drag and performing raunchy drag routines.

Levine's remarks also come as several European countries move to prohibit the use of puberty blockers in children under the age of 18 following a Swedish television investigation that found that 13 young adults who received the medication were having adverse effects.
